C-A-T Tourniquet and Kydex Holster
Introducing the new North American Rescue Tourniquet Combo Kit that INCLUDES (1) Black Gen 7 C-A-T® Tourniquet and (1) FDE Rigid TQ Case.
The Gen 7 C-A-T® utilizes a durable windlass system with a patented free-moving internal band providing true circumferential pressure to the extremity. Once adequately tightened, bleeding will cease and the windlass is locked into place. A hook and loop windlass retention strap is then applied, securing the windlass to maintain pressure during casualty evacuation. The CAT’s unique dual securing system avoids the use of screws and clips which can become difficult to operate under survival stress or where fine motor skills are compromised.
Our Gen 7 C-A-T® RIGID TQ Case with Cover was designed to provide personnel with the capability to carry and protect their life-saving Gen 7 C-A-T® Tourniquet on their person by easily mounting it to their duty/patrol/pistol belt, where it is needed most. It can be mounted either vertically or horizontally and can also be attached to a Safariland Drop Leg Shroud using the existing holes (the case mounts with 2 screws in the middle of the case). The Case Cover completely covers your tourniquet to protect it from the elements and provides a clean, uniform look.
The Injection Molded Nylon Case provides strength and durability as it holds the C-A-T® Tourniquet tightly in place. When deployed, the cover "breaks apart" so there is no snagging on your tourniquet and allows for easy and quick deployment of the C-A-T®. Includes a hook and loop cross to identify it as medical equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the official C-A-T® tourniquet used by the U.S. military?
Yes. The Gen 7 C-A-T® is manufactured by North American Rescue and is the official tourniquet of the U.S. Army. This listing includes one Black Gen 7 C-A-T® Tourniquet and one FDE Rigid TQ Case.
How do I mount the rigid case to my duty belt?
The case uses a Blade-Tech TekLok belt attachment (fits belts up to 2.25") and can be mounted either vertically or horizontally. It can also attach directly to a Safariland Drop Leg Shroud using the existing mounting holes — the case itself mounts with two screws through the center.
How do I apply the C-A-T® tourniquet in an emergency?
Wrap the tourniquet above the injury and secure it with the self-adhering band, then twist the windlass rod until bleeding stops. Lock the windlass in place with the clip, then secure it further with the hook-and-loop windlass retention strap. The dual securing system is designed to work reliably even under stress or with compromised fine motor skills — no screws or clips to fumble with.
Will the case protect the tourniquet from weather and daily wear?
Yes. The case is Kydex for durability, and the cover fully encloses the tourniquet to protect it from the elements while keeping a clean, uniform profile on your belt.
Does the case slow down deployment in an emergency?
No — the cover is designed to break apart cleanly when the tourniquet is pulled, so there's no snagging during deployment. A hook-and-loop cross patch is included to visually identify it as medical equipment.
Can I buy the tourniquet and case separately, or only as a combo?
This specific listing is the combo kit — one Gen 7 C-A-T® Tourniquet and one FDE Rigid Case together. Contact us if you're looking for either component individually.
